I enjoy creating meaningful visual narratives and enabling stories to be told through rich experiences.
Whether I am working with an 800 year-old castle or cutting-edge science, I always strive to engage people with stories in rewarding and memorable ways.
I work in the heritage, cultural and corporate sectors, with extensive experience in Ireland, USA and Europe. I always strive to add value to content through design.
What’s the story with my name?
‘Mise Raftery’ comes from an Irish language poem attributed to Anthony Raftery, born in 1779. It translates as ‘I am Raftery’, which is who I am – John – and the first four lines of this poem appeared on the reverse of the last Irish five pound note. This appeals to me! (A note on pronunciation: Mise is pronounced ‘Misha’)
